In a bid to bolster its air force capabilities, India has launched a pioneering project to develop a fifth-generation stealth fighter jet known as the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). The Aeronautical Development Agency, under the Ministry of Defence, is spearheading this ambitious endeavor.
As part of the initiative, the agency has called for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from Indian companies suitable for constructing prototypes of the innovative aircraft. The EOI targets firms with a robust background in the aerospace and defense sectors, emphasizing the need for technical expertise and manufacturing proficiency.
This progressive project outlines the creation of five AMCA prototypes designed with advanced stealth features for deeper penetration capabilities. The successful firm is expected to handle the aircraft's series production within an eight-year timeframe.
