Wipro Launches New Division to Boost India's PCB Manufacturing

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering announced the launch of Wipro Electronic Materials, a business unit focused on manufacturing base materials for Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs). The initiative includes a new Copper Clad Laminate facility in Karnataka with a projected Rs 500 crore investment.
This development will create approximately 350 jobs and produce over 6 million sheets of copper-clad laminates, enhancing supply chain resilience in India's electronics manufacturing sector. The facility is situated on a 19-acre site near Bengaluru International Airport.
Pratik Kumar, CEO of WIN, highlighted the strategic importance of this investment, stating it aims to offer reliable, high-quality materials to Indian manufacturers. This move positions Wipro as a key supplier for telecom, automotive, consumer electronics, and AI sectors, bridging the existing supply chain gap.
