Shares of Emmvee Photovoltaic Power staged a modest debut on the stock market, ending slightly over 1% above their initial issue price of Rs 217 on Tuesday.
Listed at Rs 217 each on both BSE and NSE, the stock fluctuated between highs of Rs 227.80 and lows of Rs 206.85 on the BSE, ultimately closing at Rs 219.05, reflecting a 0.94% gain. At the NSE, it wrapped up trading at Rs 219.40, up 1.10% from the offer price.
With a market valuation pegged at Rs 15,165.82 crore, Emmvee's IPO was nearly fully subscribed. The Rs 2,900-crore IPO was divided between a fresh issue and an offer for sale by the promoters. Proceeds are set for loan repayments and corporate initiatives, demonstrating confidence in their solar PV manufacturing prowess.
