Internet infrastructure giant Cloudflare is investigating a technical issue that has resulted in service disruptions across several major platforms, including social media site X and AI tool ChatGPT.

On Tuesday, the company acknowledged the problem via its status page—indicating that multiple customers were experiencing difficulties, notably reporting widespread 500 errors along with malfunctions of Cloudflare's Dashboard and API.

Despite efforts towards recovery, Cloudflare continues to investigate the root cause of the outage. Notably, the disruptions coincided with scheduled maintenance at its Santiago data center.
