Telangana is positioning itself as a leader in digital governance, according to state IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu. On Tuesday, Babu unveiled the state's latest initiative, 'Mee Seva' on WhatsApp, showcasing an ambitious step in facilitating public service access.
This project, developed in collaboration with Meta, allows citizens to reach over 580 services from 38 government departments directly via WhatsApp. An official statement highlighted this as one of the largest government-WhatsApp service integrations in India, aiming to simplify citizen access to services without additional applications.
Emphasizing the role of citizen participation in governance, Minister Babu stated that the government seeks to create a transparent and inclusive system. "Governance should not be confined behind closed doors but should integrate citizens actively through technology," he articulated during the launch event.
