Jio's Surge: Leading India's Mobile Subscriber Boom

Reliance Jio, in a notable surge, added 19.97 lakh mobile subscribers in October, marking its highest gain among Indian telecom operators. With this increase, Jio's total subscriber base rose to 48.47 crore, as per the latest data from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai).
Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel witnessed a growth of 12.52 lakh subscribers, bringing its total to 39.36 crore, up from 39.24 crore in September. In comparison, state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd reported an addition of 2.69 lakh users, raising its figures to 9.25 crore by the end of October.
Contrasting with these positive trends, Vodafone Idea saw a decrease in its wireless subscribers, losing 20.83 lakh during the month, which resulted in a drop to 20.07 crore users from 20.28 crore in September. Overall, India's total telephone subscriber base expanded to 123.1 crore, with a significant rise in broadband and wireline connections also noted.
