Iron Beam: Revolutionizing Israeli Air Defense with Laser Technology

Israeli military's defenses will be bolstered with the upcoming deployment of the Iron Beam, a low-cost laser interception system. Expected to fundamentally change battlefield dynamics, the system will integrate into Israel's defense strategy alongside Iron Dome, offering enhanced protection at lower costs.

Israel is set to introduce Iron Beam, a cutting-edge laser interception system, enhancing its air defense capabilities by December 2025. The Defense Ministry confirmed the system's effectiveness during a recent war, with Brig Gen (Res.) Daniel Gold leading the development effort.

The Iron Beam will operate within Israel's multi-layered defense network, complementing the existing Iron Dome. It promises significantly reduced operational costs while maintaining robust defense against a range of aerial threats such as rockets and UAVs.
