Artificial Intelligence is being hailed as humanity's driving force towards progress, according to Manish Gupta, Senior Director of Google DeepMind. On Tuesday, he emphasized that AI's evolution will lead to major advancements, speeding up scientific discoveries and enhancing human abilities.
Highlighting India's pivotal stance in applying AI to solve real-life problems, Google unveiled significant financial commitments. This includes a record USD 15 billion investment for developing an AI infrastructure hub in Andhra Pradesh, featuring a gigawatt-scale data centre with the Adani Group.
Furthering its commitment, Google announced financial support, including USD 8 million for India's AI Centers of Excellence focusing on health, agriculture, education, and sustainable cities. Strategic collaborations are set to improve multilingual applications in health and agriculture, bolstering India's Digital Public Infrastructure.
