Delhi has witnessed a telecom milestone with its telephone connections exceeding six crore in 2025. Remarkably, while wireless connections remain significant, wireline services are experiencing a noteworthy rise in the capital.

The latest data from the Delhi government's Department of Economics and Statistics reveals that wireless connections were recorded at approximately 5.61 crore, and wireline services surged to 47.1 lakh in the same year. This marks a substantial increase in the wireline sector.

Over recent years, the overall number of telephone connections in Delhi has demonstrated stability with minor fluctuations, adding a dynamic layer to the capital's communications infrastructure. This evolving trend underlines Delhi's shifting telephone connection preferences and its impact on the city's telecom landscape.
