IT services giant Tech Mahindra on Friday reported a significant profit increase, thanks to strong financial performance in the December quarter. Profits jumped 14.11% to Rs 1,122 crore, compared to Rs 983.2 crore a year earlier.
The company's revenue from operations also saw a notable increase, rising to Rs 14,393 crore from Rs 13,286 crore during the same period last year. This growth is attributed in part to a gain of Rs 272 crore from exceptional items, despite a surge in service costs.
Furthermore, the company's new deal wins soared 47% to USD 1.096 billion, maintaining a high deal-win run-rate. However, the overall headcount decreased slightly to 1,49,616, with an attrition rate of 12.3%.
