The Birla Institute of Technology-Mesra has announced a collaboration with IIT-Kharagpur for an upcoming international conference titled 'Frontiers in Surface Engineering & Additive Manufacturing' (FSEAM 2026). The event is set to occur from January 21-23 at the Kalidas Auditorium, IIT-Kharagpur in West Bengal.
Organized by the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at IIT-Kharagpur and BIT-Mesra, the conference will feature global professionals discussing surface engineering, additive manufacturing, hybrid processing, and advanced materials.
According to BIT Mesra Vice-Chancellor Prof Indranil Manna, FSEAM 2026 is a pivotal opportunity for students to engage with industry experts, thereby transforming theoretical knowledge into concrete engineering solutions.
