ST Engineering has unveiled two innovative platforms at the Singapore Airshow, signaling a major shift into advanced aviation technologies. As the world's leading airframe maintenance provider, the company introduced the DrN-600 cargo drone and announced partnerships for its AirFish Voyager at Asia's premier aerospace event.
The DrN-600, an electric vertical take-off cargo drone, boasts a range exceeding 70 km with a payload capacity of 100 kg. Expected by 2028, this drone targets medium-lift cargo operations. According to COO Jeffrey Lam, drones could disrupt industries like security and logistics, yet regulatory frameworks remain a challenge.
Furthering its ambitions, ST Engineering launched an airframe and engine nacelle service center in Singapore, enhancing its global MRO operations. The strategic expansion underscores the company's commitment to addressing growing industry demands, with additional facilities planned in the U.S., China, and Singapore.
