Oreshkin, who serves as deputy chief of the Kremlin staff and economic aide to President Putin, is poised to foreground the strategic drive for AI collaboration between Russia and India. Discussions at the summit will prioritize secure, trusted, and sovereign AI. A Kremlin insider informed PTI about the delegation's commitment to AI governance and opportunities within BRICS and similar platforms.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in a recent BRICS TV Network interview, emphasized the importance of ICT security in AI. This focus aligns with ongoing efforts to establish norms regulating AI in military applications.
