The Centre for Nano Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Science, in collaboration with the Groww Foundation, has introduced a new semiconductor skill development programme. This initiative seeks to foster next-generation talent in the semiconductor field, with a special emphasis on increasing participation among women and young students.
The programme, named Groww Foundation – CeNSE Semiconductor Skill Development Programme, aims to advance the semiconductor ecosystem through specific training and research exposure. It comprises three distinct tracks, targeting different phases of academic and research careers. This initiative is spearheaded by Dr. Dhavala Suri, Assistant Professor at CeNSE.
With the hope of nurturing a diverse range of talent, the programme intends to support 160 girl and women students over three years. Prof. Ambarish Ghosh and Kalpana Swaminathan underscore the collaboration's potential to unlock growth opportunities for women and tribal communities, fostering a new era of innovation at the nanoscale.
