This collaboration follows the issuance of a Letter of Intent by the Indian government, allowing Starlink to initiate its satcom services. While the company is yet to complete the mandatory licensing criteria, the signed LoI underscores a significant step towards better connectivity.

Highlighting the state's commitment to technological advancement, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma expressed optimism that this partnership will drive development, particularly in education and healthcare sectors.
