In a recent session of the Rajya Sabha, two women Parliament members voiced pivotal demands for enhanced railway connectivity. Their appeal emphasized both regional development and community benefit.
BJP MP Seema Dwivedi from Uttar Pradesh pressed for the Neelanchal Express to halt at Mughra-Bashapur station in Jaunpur, citing a longstanding demand by migrant workers from the district. This train, linking Puri and Anand Vihar Terminal, currently bypasses this significant region.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Phulo Devi Netam advocated for a new rail line in Chhattisgarh, anticipating boosts in religious tourism and infrastructure growth. The proposals underscore a broader call for strategic infrastructural investment and integration to meet local needs.
