Pune's pioneering cleantech startup, NovorbisItusPvt. Ltd., has successfully raised ₹13.35 crore in seed funding, spearheaded by Rainmatter, the investment branch of Zerodha. The financing will be directed toward expanding the company's emission control solutions for diesel generators and crematoriums, and to innovate additional product lines.

The funding round also saw participation from Rockstud Capital, an early-stage fund supporting manufacturing-led companies. The objective is to empower industries to implement on-site carbon capture technologies and enhance compliance with tightening emission norms across sectors.

Novorbis, founded by Harsh Neekhra, Gagan Tripathi, and Divyank Gupta, boasts products like the filter-less Retrofit Emission Control Device and CAPS for crematoriums, both tailored to India's pollution challenges. The startup's solutions are recognized for enabling cost-effective emissions reductions, aligning with India’s environmental policies.
