The highly anticipated 2026 Macao Forum on Low-Altitude Economy and Innovation Development of Full-Space Unmanned Systems commenced at the Grand Hyatt Macau on May 15. With support from the Macao SAR Economic and Technological Development Bureau, nearly 300 stakeholders participated, showcasing the importance of this burgeoning sector in regional development initiatives.

Key discussions centered on the region's strategic vision, which aligns with China's 15th Five-Year Plan and Macao's economic diversification strategy. The establishment of the ''Hengqin Model'' aims to streamline cross-border logistics and regulate pilot drone transport projects, while industry leaders committed to overcoming technical challenges and enhancing safety standards.

International experts contributed crucial insights during thematic keynotes and panel discussions, which covered topics such as emergency medical services via drones in Europe and the globalization of the low-altitude economy. The forum marked a pivotal step in forging a collaborative platform to cement Hengqin-Macao as a global innovation hub.
