Android Q: All you need to know about Android 10 features and more

Today search giant Google has released Android 10 or Android Q beta 3 which is available for download now on selected devices. Google at Google I/O event has announced new major features that are rolling out with Android 10 beta. On their blog, Google also announced that they have achieved two amazing milestones, one that they have released Android 10 or Q and that Android is now running in over 2.5 billion devices over the world.

According to Google, Android Q or Android 10 is more focused on innovation, security, privacy and digital wellbeing of users. New Android Q will also be more compatible with foldable phones, edge-to-edge screens and will also support AI.

The new Android Q or Android 10 will be exclusively available with partners like Huawei, Xiaomi, Nokia, Sony, Vivo, OPPO, OnePlus, ASUS, LGE, TECNO, Essential, and Realme.

Privacy and security

In Android Q or Android 10, Privacy and Security is the most important aspect Google has focused on. According to the new release, users can now have more control over apps requesting different types of permissions. For example, users can now select when to allow access to the location.

Notifications Bubbles

Google in Android Q or Android 10 to launch smart replies to all the apps and also introduced system-provided smart replies and actions that are inserted directly into notifications by default. The smart replies were earlier introduced by Google on Android Pie but its usage was limited to certain apps.

Dark mode

A popular request by users has been fulfilled by Google and finally, Google has confirmed that Android Q or Android 10 will have a system-wide dark mode that can be turned on and off at any time via a Quick Settings toggle. In Android 10 or Android Q Beta 3, users can activate a new system-wide dark theme by going to Settings > Display, using the new Quick Settings tile, or turning on Battery Saver.

Support to Foldable Screen

Android Q is fully optimized to adapt to foldable-specific features and experience. According to Google, "This year, display technology will take a big leap with foldable devices coming to the Android ecosystem from several top device makers. When folded these devices work as a phone, then you unfold a beautiful tablet-sized screen."
