- United States
Elon Musk, in an unusual move, has tweeted that he has deleted his account and changed his profile picture to a black image and changed the name to Daddy DotCom. The profile has not been actually deleted yet but Elon Musk has not tweeted anything after that.
Just deleted my Twitter account

Musk's reaction comes after the recent backlash against him after the billionaire tweeted that "no one should be credited with anything, ever."
This is not the first time Musk's tweets have sparked controversy, Elon Musk has a history of not shying away from criticism and constantly replies to critics of Tesla cars, his space plans, rival products on Twitter.
It is unclear if Musk has just played a prank or if he has really left Twitter, but thousands of his fans have flooded Twitter asking him not to delete his account. His tweet has been retweeted 11,000 times in 5 hours and there are almost 8,000 comments on it.

Please never, the only reason I redownloaded Twitter was for you. Ever since you left Instagram, it's been so lonely.:(
