CM of eight mountainous states to meet for two days in Shimla to discuss various common issue

Chief ministers of at least eight mountainous states will meet for two days in Shimla from Friday to discuss various common issues being faced by them, officials said.
Those who are expected to attend the meeting include chief ministers of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Meghalaya while an official will represent Jammu and Kashmir, which is under the President's rule.
Union minister Kiren Rijiju will attend the meeting as the representative of the central government, an official said.
Issues related to the development of border areas, construction of roads, bridges, hospitals, schools besides others are expected to be discussed in the meeting, another official said.
