Jeera, turmeric rise on stockists' buying

Prices of jeera and turmeric went up by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale kirana market in the national capital today on emergence of buying by stockists the following uptick in demand amid fall in supplies from producing regions.
Marketmen said fresh buying by stockists in view of pick up in demand against restricted supplies from growing regions mainly led to rise in jeera and turmeric prices.
Jeera common new and best quality new rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 19,200-20,200 and Rs 22,700-23,200 per quintal, respectively.
Turmeric also edged up by Rs 100 to Rs 8,600-11,100 per quintal.
