FBIL sets rupee reference rate at 71.9009 against dollar

The Financial Benchmarks India private limited (FBIL) today fixed the reference rate of the rupee at 71.9009 against the US dollar and 83.6744 for the euro.

The corresponding rates were 71.9214 and 83.6005 as on yesterday. According to an FBIL statement, the exchange rates for the pound and the yen against the rupee were 93.0364 and 64.98 per 100 yens, respectively, based on reference rates for the dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
