Speeding Taxi Collides with Autorickshaw, Injuring 12 Including Children

Twelve individuals, including five children, were injured when a speeding taxi collided with an autorickshaw near the Koradi Thermal Power Station. Two victims are in critical condition. The taxi driver, Vijaykumar Rai, has been arrested. All injured are undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital. Further investigation is ongoing.

Twelve individuals, including five children, sustained injuries when a speeding taxi crashed into an autorickshaw they were traveling in on Saturday evening, according to local police.

The incident occurred near gate number 1 of Koradi Thermal Power Station (KTPS). Rickshaw driver Junaid Iqbal Shaikh (40) and passengers Nachmun (45), Zohara Shaikh (60), Mahera Sayyed (7), Savid (9), Sofia (32), Hasak (4), and Shaheen (34), along with her sons Farhan (13) and Mehran (7), were among the injured, confirmed the Koradi police.

The victims were immediately taken to Mayo Hospital, where Nachmun and Zohra remain in critical condition. Authorities arrested the taxi driver, Vijaykumar Rai (28), on charges of rash driving. The investigation continues.
