“Our expertise in both industrial and information technology has matured,” said Babu, emphasizing Telangana's shift from coding to product development. The minister, currently visiting the US to attract investments, noted Hyderabad’s historical contribution to tech advancements for giants like Microsoft, Google, and Amazon. The state now seeks to focus more on innovation.

Babu highlighted plans for an AI city on a 200-acre site to support research and company offices. He also underscored the importance of seizing opportunities in AI to avoid mistakes like missing early semiconductor industry initiatives. During his US trip, Babu engaged with industry leaders to reinforce Telangana's economic goals and attract investments, particularly in the IT and pharmaceutical sectors.

Hyderabad is strategically poised as an economic hub, but Telangana’s development strategy extends state-wide. The government aims to replicate Hyderabad’s success across all its districts to ensure balanced growth. Furthermore, Telangana is keen on involving the Telugu diaspora from the US in its initiatives for education, healthcare, and infrastructure. The state also seeks central government support to bolster its semiconductor mission, positioning itself for future growth.
