Swedish beauty giant Oriflame has announced that India ranks among its top-priority markets, revealing an ambitious plan to onboard one million partners over the next five years. The move aims to champion micro-entrepreneurship and foster a startup culture across the nation, according to an official statement from the company.
This strategic decision aligns seamlessly with India's robust growth trajectory and governmental policies promoting employment generation and self-reliance, the company noted. Oriflame is committed to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit by enabling individuals to become brand partners, thereby instilling entrepreneurial values and empowering the workforce, especially women, it added.
Under its Make-in-India initiative, Oriflame is establishing research and development capabilities within the country to produce products tailored for Indian consumers. The majority of Oriflame products sold in India are already produced locally, which not only generates employment but also bolsters the nation's economic growth. 'Our goal to transform 1 million brand partners into micro-entrepreneurs in the next five years underscores our dedication to this dynamic market,' said Edyta Kurek, Senior Vice President and Head of India and Indonesia at Oriflame.
