Delhi faced serious traffic issues as the Okhla underpass was waterlogged following heavy rainfall this weekend. The Delhi Traffic Police restricted vehicle movements on Sunday after a tragic incident involving a 60-year-old man who drowned on Saturday.

Residents of the national capital encountered immense difficulties navigating through the city, with waterlogging and traffic jams reported in multiple areas. The deluge on Friday and Saturday exacerbated commuting woes, making routine travel arduous.

In a social media post, the traffic police advised commuters to avoid the Okhla underpass and plan their routes accordingly. The inconvenience was apparent as Sonu Gupta, a regular commuter, lamented, "I have been taking this route for some time but never seen it get waterlogged." Another commuter, Rajesh Kumar, echoed the challenges, saying he had to find alternative ways after getting stuck for hours.
