JSW MG Motor India Sees Decline in Sales, But NEVs Shine

JSW MG Motor India reported a 9% year-on-year decline in retail sales for June, tallying 4,644 units compared to 5,125 units the previous year. Despite the decline, the company's flagship SUV, ZS EV, recorded its highest-ever monthly sales with NEVs contributing significantly to overall sales.

JSW MG Motor India experienced a setback in June retail sales, posting a 9% year-on-year decline. The company sold 4,644 units, down from 5,125 in June 2023.

However, the flagship SUV ZS EV reached a milestone with its highest-ever monthly sales in June 2024. NEVs, or new energy vehicles, significantly bolstered the company’s performance, making up over 40% of total sales with 1,861 units sold.

The automaker's strategic focus on NEVs appears to be paying off amid the broader decline.
