Delhi's First L-10 Liquor Store Opens at IGI Airport's Terminal-3
The Delhi government's excise department has approved the Delhi Consumer's Cooperative Wholesale Store Ltd. for opening the first L-10 liquor store at IGI Airport's Terminal-3. This self-service store operates 24x7 and caters to domestic travelers and the airport staff, offering a range of national and international brands.
The Delhi government's excise department has granted a license to the Delhi Consumer's Cooperative Wholesale Store Ltd. (DCCWS) for launching a retail liquor store in the arrival area of Terminal-3 at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, officials announced on Sunday.
This establishment marks the debut of an L-10 liquor store in the IGI airport under the current excise regime, as confirmed by an excise department official. The 750-square-foot self-service store provides customers with a walk-in experience to select their preferred liquor brands.
Available 24x7, the store stocks all national and international brands registered with the excise department. It serves both domestic travelers and the numerous airport staff, contrasting with other retail liquor outlets in Delhi which operate from 10 am to 10 pm.
This strategic location aims to curb illegal liquor supplies from neighboring states and display comparative rate charts through LED screens for customer convenience. Payment options include UPI, credit card, and debit card. The store significantly enhances the commercial offerings at Delhi Airport, officials noted.
