'There is no sign of a shooting,' the official emphasized without providing further details.
Efforts to reach Vietnam's embassy in Bangkok for comment have been unsuccessful, as calls to the telephone number listed on the embassy's website went unanswered. Similarly, police and medical services could not be immediately contacted for further information.
The names and other details of the deceased have not yet been released, as authorities continue their investigation into the incident.
