Dubai International Airport Restores Normal Operations Post-Global System Outage

Dubai International Airport, the major hub for Emirates airline, experienced a global system outage affecting check-in for some airlines. Operations resumed swiftly using an alternative system. Flydubai and Emirates reported minimal impact, and Etihad Airways noted possible minor delays across its network.

Dubai International Airport, one of the busiest in the world and central to Emirates airline services, resumed normal operations after a global system outage impacted check-ins on Friday. The airport operator efficiently switched to an alternative system to manage check-ins for affected airlines.

According to Dubai Airports, the outage disrupted check-in processes for some airlines at Terminal 1 and 2, prompting the swift transition to another system. Flydubai, based in Terminal 2, reported no disruption, while Emirates, operating from Terminal 3, indicated that its flights were uninfluenced but minor delays could occur due to the knock-on effect from delayed departures elsewhere.

Etihad Airways, which operates from Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport, reassured that its operations were running smoothly. However, it cautioned about potential limited delays network-wide. This systems outage also affected carriers, media companies, banks, and telecom firms globally.
