Goa CM Lauds Union Budget's Focus on Rural Development and Other Key Sectors

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant praised the Union Budget for its major emphasis on rural development, agriculture, health, IT, and industry. He expressed optimism about Goa benefiting from various proposed projects and highlighted the Budget's alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's long-term vision for India's progress by 2047.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday lauded the Union Budget for its significant focus on rural development, agriculture, health, IT, and industry. He confidently stated that the coastal state is well-positioned to benefit from these key sectors.

Speaking to reporters in Porvorim, Sawant announced that Goa will be proposing special projects to secure financial assistance under the Budget for 2024-25, presented in the Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Sawant emphasized that the Budget is a strategic roadmap aimed at achieving India's developmental goals by 2047, marking its 100th year of independence, and reflects the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
