Railway Minister Addresses Train Stoppage Concerns in Malappuram District

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw addressed concerns about train stoppages in Malappuram, Kerala, during a Lok Sabha session. The response was in reply to MP M P Abdussamad Samadani's query regarding passengers' difficulties due to the lack of train stoppages in the district.

MP M P Abdussamad Samadani from the Indian Union Muslim League raised concerns about the difficulties faced by passengers because 11 pairs of trains do not stop in the district on the Shornur-Mangalore line.

Vaishnaw pointed out that important stations in Malappuram, such as Kuttippuram and Tirur, are served by numerous trains, and that the determination of train stoppages is an ongoing process based on necessity and operational efficiency.
