States Seek Massive Financial Packages from Centre for Developmental Projects
Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Bihar have sought substantial financial packages from the Central government for various developmental initiatives. Kerala requested Rs 24,000 crore, Andhra Pradesh sought Rs 32,144.06 crore, while Bihar requested Rs 785 crore for multiple projects, including social welfare and infrastructure development.
Kerala has requested a special financial package of Rs 24,000 crore from the Centre, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary informed Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
Additionally, Andhra Pradesh has sought financial support amounting to Rs 32,144.06 crore for various sectors, including the development of its capital Amravati and Polavaram irrigation projects.
Bihar has also made appeals for approximately Rs 785 crore for diverse projects, ranging from social welfare and health infrastructure to water resource development.
