Godrej Properties Reports Impressive Q1 Earnings Surge
Godrej Properties has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 520.05 crore for Q1 FY25, a massive increase from Rs 124.94 crore the previous year, with sales bookings rising nearly fourfold to Rs 8,637 crore. The company attributes success to robust housing demand and strategic business development.
Real estate giant Godrej Properties on Wednesday reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 520.05 crore for the first quarter of this fiscal year, marking a more than four-fold increase from Rs 124.94 crore in the year-ago period. The company also noted a significant rise in sales bookings to Rs 8,637 crore, almost four times the amount recorded during the June quarter of the previous year, driven by strong housing demand.
Income for the April-June period of FY25 grew to Rs 1,699.48 crore, up from Rs 1,265.98 crore in the same period last year, while total expenses decreased to Rs 921.45 crore from Rs 1,121.89 crore. This marked the highest-ever quarterly sales for the June period and the second highest on record for the company.
Executive Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej emphasized the robustness of the residential real estate sector over the past three years, expressing confidence in achieving a sales bookings target of Rs 27,000 crore for the current fiscal year. The company's strong balance sheet, launch pipeline, and consistent demand are expected to sustain this growth trajectory.
