Indian Railways Resolves 70 Out of 72 Family Pension Cases

Indian Railways has achieved significant progress by resolving 70 of 72 pending family pension cases within the month of July, according to a statement from the Ministry of Railways. This initiative is part of the Government's 100-day Action Plan led by the Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DOPPW).
The campaign aimed at timely redressal of family pension grievances through the Centralized Pension Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPENGRAMS) was conducted from July 1 to July 31, 2024. Indian Railways undertook this mission with greater enthusiasm and broader targets, leading to the campaign's success.
Nodal officers and employees across various levels were instrumental in achieving the set objectives. The Ministry highlighted several success stories, including Kavita Rani, who received a revised Pension Payment Order (PPO) within five days, and Arti, who benefitted from the inclusion of DA arrears in her pension.
