Mixed Sales Stats for Two-Wheeler Giants: Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Eicher Motors, and TVS in July
Hero MotoCorp's two-wheeler sales declined in July 2023 compared to the previous year, while Bajaj Auto and TVS recorded growth. Eicher Motors' sales dropped. Despite monthly fluctuations, Hero MotoCorp saw a 9.3% year-to-date increase in overall sales. Bajaj Auto and TVS also reported year-to-date growth.

Hero MotoCorp experienced a decline in its total two-wheeler sales in July, reporting 3,70,274 units compared to 3,91,310 units in July 2023. The company sold 3,40,390 motorcycles and 29,884 scooters. However, from April to July in FY'25, it sold 1,905,430 units, marking a 9.3% growth over the same period in FY'24.
In a noteworthy highlight, Hero MotoCorp achieved its highest monthly global dispatches for the year in July and saw a nearly 33% growth from April to July 2024 with 73,733 units, compared to 55,430 units in FY'24. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto registered an 11% increase in two-wheeler sales in July, selling 2,97,541 units versus 2,68,840 units in the same month last year.
With a 19% spike in domestic sales, Bajaj Auto sold 12,48,458 units from April to July FY'25, an 8% rise from last year's 11,58,170 units. Conversely, Eicher Motors, the parent company of Royal Enfield, reported an 8% decline in July sales, selling 67,265 units compared to 73,117 units last year and a 2% dip in FY'25 sales so far. TVS, however, saw its July sales grow by 9% to 3,39,676 units, driven by an 8% increase in domestic sales and significant growth in motorcycle and scooter segments.
