In a significant boost to Assam's business landscape, the state's government has successfully attracted its largest-ever investment— a Rs 27,000-crore Tata semiconductor plant, as revealed by a top official on Friday.
Fuelled by the Assam Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Act enacted in 2016, the state has streamlined its business regulations and procedures, significantly enhancing its appeal to investors.
The Assam EoDB portal, launched to simplify business operations, now offers 241 services across 17 departments and has achieved a 99.08% application disposal rate, showcasing its efficiency and effectiveness.
