In a tragic incident early Sunday, seven people lost their lives, and 25 others were injured when a bus plunged into a ditch following a collision on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in the Usrahar area, authorities confirmed.

Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar informed the media that the bus, bearing a Nagaland number plate and traveling from Rae Bareli to Delhi, crashed around 12:45 am. The collision occurred when a car, traveling from Lucknow to Agra, apparently entered the wrong lane after the driver fell asleep.

The impact of the crash caused the bus to veer off course and flip into a roadside ditch. Authorities have admitted the injured to a hospital, with one individual reported to be in critical condition. Approximately 60 people were onboard the bus at the time of the accident.
