In a tragic incident early Sunday, a bus carrying around 60 passengers veered into a 20-foot roadside ditch after a collision with a car on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, killing seven and injuring 25. The mishap occurred in the Usrahar area.

Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar reported that the bus, registered in Nagaland, was en route to Delhi from Rae Bareli around 12.45 am when it collided head-on with a car driving in the wrong lane. The force of the impact caused the bus to overturn and fall into the ditch.

The deceased include Om Prakash Tiwari, 50, from Lakhimpur, and Yasir Alvi from Amethi. Three car occupants—Monu, 25, his mother Chanda Devi, 40, and Pradyumn, 24—died on the spot. The identity of the remaining victims is yet to be confirmed. The driver of the car allegedly fell asleep, leading to the catastrophic collision.
