Rajasthan Sets Ambitious Loan Goal for Farmers

The Rajasthan government has announced an ambitious plan to offer loans to five lakh new farmers this year, stated Cooperatives Minister Gautam Kumar during an Assembly session on Monday.

Kumar highlighted that efforts will be made to ensure that the maximum number of needy farmers in the state receive loans within their credit limits.

He clarified that the loans will be issued in both short-term and medium-term formats by Central Cooperative Banks. Under current provisions, short-term loans of up to Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 3 lakh will be available, while medium-term loans can reach up to Rs 10 lakh.
