Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay Takes Helm as Northern Railway CPRO
Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, an IRTS officer from the 2007 batch, has been appointed as the chief public relations officer of Northern Railway. Previously, he held a similar role at the North Central Railway headquarters in Prayagraj. Upadhyay has held various significant positions within the railway sector.

In a recent development, Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer from the 2007 Civil Services batch, has assumed the role of chief public relations officer (CPRO) for the Northern Railway zone. The appointment was announced in an official statement released on Monday.
Before this, Upadhyay held the position of CPRO at the North Central Railway Zone's headquarters in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He hails from Ambedkarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, received his early education in Almora, and completed his post-graduation in economics from Allahabad University.
The statement also highlighted Upadhyay's previous roles, which include serving as the divisional operations manager (DOM) in Jhansi, senior divisional operations manager (General) in Prayagraj Division, senior divisional operations manager in Agra, and deputy chief traffic manager cum station director in Kanpur, among other important positions.
