Nine people lost their lives, and one was grievously injured when an overloaded SUV veered off a road in South Florida, crashing into a canal, as reported by authorities.

The 2023 Ford Explorer was carrying 10 passengers and was traveling south on Hatton Highway near Belle Glade around 7:30 p.m. on Monday when it hit a section of the road that briefly turns west, before heading south again.
