Jana Sena MP Seeks Funding for Crucial Railway Projects

Jana Sena MP V Balashowry met with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to request funding for key railway projects in his Machilipatnam constituency. He emphasized the importance of the Machilipatnam-Repalle railway line, which would significantly reduce travel distance and ease congestion at Vijayawada Junction.

Jana Sena MP from Machilipatnam, V Balashowry, on Tuesday met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi to advocate for funding several railway projects within his constituency. These include the crucial Machilipatnam-Repalle railway line.

Balashowry highlighted that the proposed Machilipatnam-Repalle line would benefit the residents of Diviseema, as it would reduce the travel distance to Tenali from 145 km to just 45 km. This would streamline travel to places like Chennai and Tirupati.

He also mentioned that this new line would alleviate congestion at Vijayawada Junction. Furthermore, Balashowry requested the reinstatement of the Machilipatnam to Dharmavaram train via Tirupati, discontinued last September.
