The African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), in collaboration with the African Union Commission (AUC), the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat, and the Government of Algeria, proudly unveils the Creative Africa Nexus Weekend (CANEX WKND) 2024. Scheduled to take place from October 16-19, 2024, at SAFEX in Algiers, this premier event is set to showcase the vibrant and diverse creative sectors across Africa and the diaspora.
Building on the success of previous events, including CANEX at IATF2023 in Cairo, CANEX WKND 2024 promises to be a transformative gathering. Last year's edition featured over 21 live performances, 115 industry-leading speakers, 13 masterclass sessions, and a spectacular fashion show. This year's event will continue to foster connections and opportunities through a four-day celebration under the theme: One People, United in Culture, Creating for the World.

CANEX Music Factory: The heart of the CANEX Exhibition will host live recording studios where songwriters and beatmakers will collaborate. The event will also launch an album featuring tracks recorded during last year's Music Factory.

CANEX Music Concert: Attendees will experience a dynamic concert featuring some of Africa's top artists, including the Scorpion Kings, Qing Madi, and Sofia Nzau, offering a rhythmic journey across the continent.

CANEX Fashion Show: Held at the Algiers Botanical Gardens, this show will spotlight 10 innovative designers from Africa and the diaspora, presenting bold and exciting new collections.
