Voepass has yet to disclose the cause behind the crash of the ATR 72-500 turboprop, an aircraft jointly owned by Airbus and Leonardo. President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, speaking at an event, called for a minute of silence in memory of the victims. Seven crews from Sao Paulo's state fire brigade were dispatched to the crash site, according to a social media post.
