Siemens Posts 25% PAT Rise Amid Strong Order Growth
Siemens has recorded a 25% increase in profit after tax, reaching Rs 531 crore in the April-June quarter of this fiscal year, driven by higher revenues. The company also saw a significant rise in new orders and strong performance across various segments, though order intake was weak in Digital Industries.
Siemens has reported a 25 percent rise in profit after tax (PAT) amounting to Rs 531 crore for the April to June quarter this fiscal year, attributed to increased revenues.
The company, which operates on an October to September fiscal year, had a PAT of Rs 424 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to a company statement released on Friday.
Revenue surged to Rs 4,714 crore, marking a 7 percent increase from Rs 4,407 crore in the same period last year. New orders reached Rs 6,245 crore, up 18 percent from Rs 5,288 crore in the previous year.
'All our businesses performed well in the quarter with robust growth in revenue and profitability. The strong performance came off a high-quality order backlog that we continue to deliver diligently. While order income continues to be strong in our smart infrastructure, mobility, and energy segments, we continue to experience weak order intake in the Digital Industries segment,' said Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Siemens Ltd is a technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, as well as the transmission and generation of electrical power.
