Two wagons of a goods train and its engine derailed in Shaktinagar on Sunday, police said.
The incident occurred at around 11.30 am, but no one was injured, they confirmed.
The train was transporting coal from Northern Coalfield Limited (NCL) in Khadia to the Anpara power plant.
The derailment happened on a private railway line belonging to the power plant, police stated.
According to S P Yadav, Executive Engineer at Anpara Power Plant, the derailment involved two wagons and the engine.
Yadav mentioned that repairing the track would take a day.
''We have an alternate train line, so coal supply to the plant will continue uninterrupted,'' Yadav added.
