Foundation Laid for India's Largest Electric Bus Depot in Delhi
Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot laid the foundation stone for India's largest multi-level electric bus depot in Vasant Vihar. The facility, costing Rs 409 crore, will cover 7.6 lakh-square feet, accommodate 434 buses, and include EV charging stations, rooftop solar panels, and 16 maintenance pits.

Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot laid the foundation stone of a multi-level electric bus depot in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar on Tuesday.
Saxena was the chief guest at the ceremony, while Gahlot served as the guest of honour.
Touted to be India's largest bus depot, the facility will occupy a 7.6 lakh-square feet area and cost an estimated Rs 409 crore, officials said.
It will house 434 buses and be equipped with EV charging stations, rooftop solar panels, and 16 maintenance pits.
The National Buildings Construction Corporation has been tasked to construct the multi-level bus park.
