Indian Smartphone Market Sees Steady Growth in Q2 2024, Led by Vivo and Apple

In the second quarter of 2024, the Indian smartphone market experienced a growth of 3.2%, with 39 million units shipped, as reported by the International Data Corporation (IDC).
Vivo led the market with a 16.5% share in volume terms, witnessing a 6.7% year-over-year (YoY) growth. Apple dominated the super-premium segment, capturing an impressive 83% market share, followed by Samsung at 16%.
Motorola showed the highest growth, backed by a diverse product portfolio. The quarter saw 27 million 5G smartphones shipped, representing 77% of total shipments. The entry-premium segment emerged as the biggest growth area, with a 42% YoY increase.
